Principals' Leadership Academy for Experienced Principals

The Principals’ Leadership Academy for Experienced Principals has two goals.  The first is to provide opportunities for experienced principals to network and learn from one another. The second goal is to provide opportunities that enhance instructional and leadership capabilities. During the course of a six-year period, experienced principals are required to attend 45 hours of professional development sessions that meet at least four of the six standards established in State Board Policy §5300.03.

Fearless Leader: A Module for the Elementary Leader

Learn from a turnaround team about how principals and teachers can lead together for the measurable benefit of students. Strategies include vision, mission and beliefs; organization, communication and collaboration; instructional leadership; and student behavior and a safe and orderly enviornment.

Safe and Supportive Schools

Using Data to Focus Improvement - A Leadership Module for Principals

This two-day data focus session is based on the Southern Regional Education Board's (SREB) Learning-Centered Leadership Module. The program is designed to assist administrators in dissecting data and then constructing effective practices and approaches for school improvement. Administrators will be asked to read a short article and complete a quick self-assessment of current data use prior to attending the session. Each principal will also be asked to provide data that is currently available from his/her school for use in the session.  The session is offered on back-to-back days or as two separately scheduled days.
