AP® Computer Science Principles
2018 AP Summer Professional Development

The 2018 summer AP Computer Science Principles professional development for West Virginia teachers will be offered through a regional partnership between West Virginia University Center for Excellence in STEM Education and Code.org. As the first phase of the partnership, Code.org will provide full professional development, curriculum, and implementation support for West Virginia high school or CTE teachers who are scheduled to teach AP Computer Science Principles during the 2018 - 2019 school year. 
 
The summer session will be held in Atlanta, GA, June 17 - 22, 2018, as part of TeacherCon. The training is free and expenses are paid. 
 
Applications are accepted January 16 - April 6, 2018, through the WVU Center for Excellence in STEM Education, and are available by contacting Dr. Gay Stewart, director, at gbstewart@mail.wvu.edu; or Amanda Jelsema, program coordinator, at amanda.jelsema@mail.wvu.edu.
