Enhancing Professional Practice: A Framework for Teaching

The Framework for Teaching is a research-based  set of components of instruction designed to meet the needs of teachers who want to improve their effectiveness.

 

 

 

 

 

Each online book study will be facilitated by an outstanding WV educator. You will be expected to post responses weekly based on assigned readings in the book. You will be asked to apply strategies from the book in your classroom and report back to the forum for discussion and reflection. Your facilitator will guide and support you through this process if you have never participated in an online book study before. 

 

The book study is two months in duration.

 

Upon registering, teachers will receive information via email about how to participate in the online book study.


 

 

Cost:
The cost for this session will be $20.00. You can pay online at www.wvcpd.org or mail your payment to WV Center for Professional Development, 208 Hale Street, Charleston, WV, 25301. Please make note in the memo: Online Book Study

The book study will begin on Janaury 3, 2011, and end on February 28, 2011. You must register by December 15, 2010, to allow time for your book to be mailed to you.

Requirements:
This session is designed for WV teachers who are in their first, second or third year of teaching and who participated in the Beginning Teacher Academy during the 2009-2010 school year.

Audience:
This session is designed for teachers who are in their first, second, or third year of teaching.
