Session: Using Web Resources for Instruction Part One-Beginning Teacher Academy- Bridgeport Session

Experience professional development designed to enhance teaching and learning for the digital generation. Learn strategies to promote engagement and success for students in the digital world.



New teachers will receive instruction on how to use the Thinkfinity website, which is one of the most comprehensive K-12 curriculum related websites in the world.  The search capability is exceptional for finding lesson plans and topic related resources searching by grade level, discipline, and key word. 


This session also focuses on technologies such as Wikkis, Social Bookmarking, Wet Paint, e-pals, and Skype to maximize student learning.

Cost:
Cost: The registration fee of $20 provides you with breakfast and lunch Mondday, materials, instructors, and lodging (if needed). Please pay the $20 registration fee online or mail to: WVCPD: 208 Hale Street, Charleston, WV 25301.

You are eligible to request lodging if you live more than one hour or 60 miles from the session location.

Please note: You must cancel 48 hours prior to the session to avoid being charged for your room.

 


Requirements:
This session is designed to accommodate the growing needs of new teachers. It is specifically for teachers who are in their first, second or third year of teaching. The session will equip new educators with skills and practices to create effective well-managed classrooms.
