Session: National Board Certified Teacher Renewal Session

Description:
The Profile of Professional Growth (PPG) is the National Board for Professional Standards (NBPTS) renewal instrument for National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTS). This session will give you important information about the renewal process from logistics and time lines to rubrics and guidelines for successfully renewing your National Board Certification. It is never too early to start preparing for your renewal.


This session will be facilitated by Dr. Rebecca Palacios, a former vice chair of the National Board, and a NBCT who has successfully navigated the renewal process. Dr. Palacios was part of the group that founded the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 1987. She was among the first teachers in Texas to achieve National Board Certification. 




Cost:
The cost to attend this session is $10.00. You can pay online after you register at www.wvcpd.org, mail your payment to WVCPD, 208 Hale Street, Charleston, WV 25301, or pay on-site the day of the session. Please note in the memo of your check: NBCT Renewal Session

Requirements:
All West Virginia teachers who are National Board Certified are encouraged to attend.

Audience:
This session is designed for National Board Certified teachers who are interested in seeking renewal of their certification.
